Award-winning playwright and essayist Topher Payne selects his favorite scenes, essays, and stories, many available in print for the very first time. Delight in this hilarious and often surprisingly sweet world populated by Payne's signature brand of well-intentioned sociopaths.

Topher has been named "Best Local Playwright" by The GA Voice and by Creative Loafing and served as the 2011 Atlanta Pride Pride's Grand Marshal. Payne is the author of over a dozen plays, which have been performed on stages across the United States, including Chicago's Steppenwolf Wolf Theatre, The East 4th Street Theatre in Manhattan, the Georgia Ensemble Theatre and more. Payne's plays have been nominated for Outstounding World Premiere and The Gene-Gabriel Moore Playwriting Award at the Suzi Awards. One of which won The Gene-Gabriel Moore Award in 2013.

For near a decade, Payne has written about his life with "humiliating candor" in his David Magazine column, Necessary Luxuries, and his The GA Voice column, Domestically Disturbed. Domestically Disturbed won the 2012 National Newspaper Association award for Best Humor Column.
